Kaichou wa Maid-sama!

Last Updated: Jun 04, 2011

9.50 (excellent) The plot, the characters and the turn of events were unexpected. Though I already knew that Usui and Misaki would end up together, didn't think it would take a long time though. The anime plot is quite unexpected, I mean a girl president and all her assistants are boys, also being the most feared girl in a school and keeping a secret at the same time is quite hard. The sudden change of personality for the three guys was unexpected also. I thought they were going to be Misaki's problem throughout the anime.

Usui just makes me scream :D I can't really complain about his attitude since he carries that mystery aura around him 'my favorite kind of anime guys'.
Misaki is one heck of a different anime character. <3

The supporting characters did their roles well. They weren't forgotten just like in other animes. The anime was created and delivered really well. This anime would benifit a second season or even better a one episode of Usui and Misaki after their highschool years :D

9.50 (excellent) Shinjo Mayu once again delivers a heart-breaking yet hilarious manga that should be on everyone's list of mangas/books to read. If you're looking for Music, Romance & Ecchi then this is something for you :D The art is once again something that should be appreciated. Characters were drawn really well, personalities is also something different :D Watching the anime version wouldn't hurt, but reading the manga is much better as it's very detailed and doesn't skip any moment. -WARNING: AGE 18+ (Again, Aiira is being perverted)-

8.50 (very good) The summary was already a catcher and thus the anime did not disappoint. Kazuma was banished from his home and the Kannagi Clan. He was born in a family who wields and controls the fire. At a young age Kazuma fought his cousin Ayano for the Enraiha the Kannagi Family emblem and symbol of the family ruler/future head clan. Ayano beat Kazuma thus making him the 'loser' of the clan. What's worse is he is from the Main Family making him and everyone else confuse as to why he cannot control fire, but has the potential to control other elements. Four years later, he comes back and that is when the Kannagi Clan members started getting killed by a Wind Mage. All eyes turned to Kazuma which he denied too many times.

7.25 (above average) I'm rating this seven point twenty-five since I'm not a huge fan of teary eyed animes, but this took it to a whole new level. I did not like the private moment of the characters, but what I really enjoyed about the anime is their emotions. I love how they showed their emotions throughout the anime. Even the supporting characters took it to the next level.

8.75 (very good) I have to thanked a very special friend for recommending this anime to me. I was addicted to this anime to tell everyone the truth. It's like crack (am I even allowed to say that) The usual love triangle is incorporated. Although the "love triangle" was not really scene in the anime, if you put your attention to it completely, you'll see that it's not only love triangle, but it seems like all the guys are in-love with Hino (the main character as in the girl.)

8.25 (good) 18+ Really cute story. I love how the girl did not give up right away with her pursuing Chika (I know, quite a cute name for a 16 year guy). Though the love triangle will always be a part of mangas, the fact that one of the guys falling in love with her was just because of her perfume's (Sakura uses the same perfume as Chika). Still a great manga to read :D

8.00 (good) I was totally confused with this anime once I started watching this, one of the questions that kept popping onto me is 'why is she running away?' I still quite remember that she explain who is running away from, but she did not go into detail with who. This anime was totally interesting since if you thought she was running away, then guess again.

10.00 (excellent) A really great anime. Kept me wanting more and more, it's not the normal basketball game you can just watch in any highschool either. The characters are well developed and each character has their own personality. The creators also went ahead and created rivals for all characters and their own "powers" were somehow the same with the others but before you know it they could either control better than others or they are much better in using it. Although the title of the anime would make you think it will only focus on one character it actually doesnt as it also explains the reason why the mentioned character in the title is a crucial part of the whole anime/per game. I'd give the anime 10/10 just because it kept me occupied for the whole winter break.

9.00 (very good) Very good development between lovers, if it weren't for the intimate scenes this could have been into a great anime, but oh well. As usual Minami Kanan did an amazing job with the story line and the art itself. Appreciate the characters bold personality. It's a new evolution for Kanan to make the leading girl strong and not weak like her old mangas. I guess she's trying out new stuff and I must say she's quite succeeding in that section. ;D

8.00 (good) No words. Amazing anime. Good thing about this anime is that they showed a whole bunch of characters in the beginning but decided to focus on the characters that actually has an story to tell and characters who would play a major change/shift. Love the hate/love relationship between the established relationship of each "brothers". From my point of view I think they all like the only suppose child of the Arcana Family. Great anime though.

8.50 (very good) Hilarious & Enjoyable. Mayu Shinjo covers Comedy, Romance, Ecchi & Slice of Life all in one manga. The development on the main character was hilarious to the point that reading every translated word was required. The art is also at another level. The sudden change of atmosphere is something that should be also pointed out. Thus this manga is recommended :D -WARNING: AGE 18+- Some things should not be seen by children :D

8.75 (very good) 18+ A really good manga to be honest, it has it's moments where it was quite funny (uhhh! the drawing interpretation is also acceptable). The story isn't rare to find in current japanese manga, but it was still enjoyable to be honest. Thus, I am giving this manga a personal rating of 8.75

8.50 (very good) 18+ Another good manga from Ohmi Tomu. Though the main woman character has stayed on one path and had too many mistakes. The anime has a good plot and has a few character developments. Another item to point out is that it has a different creation from the other vampire/human interaction that has been wuite popular over the year (Twilight anyone?) Instead of the forbidden fruit moment, it's more like the family business will be in danger. It's also not the problem of keeping the vampires under covers it is more like how to produce more vampires with the vampire/human interaction that is suppose to be established.
None the less it is still a great manga even with the 18+ moments (Yes! Aiira has been reading materials that are not for young audience :P)

Psychic Detective Yakumo

Last Updated: May 25, 2011

7.75 (good) The love story between Yakumo and Haruka was a bit dull, but in the end it was shown really well. What I did not expect was the death of a certain person [will not mention as it is a major spoiler]. Not a rare anime about a person seeing a ghosts, but a certain doctor is a exception. During one of the episodes, it was twisted really well, that you would not think she was the culprit. A well written anime if I say so myself, I was just a bit disappointed on how Haruka's character just hid behind Yakumo for the duration of the anime. During the end, I was really satisfied on how Yakumo accepted himself. Overall a great anime and is a must watched.

8.00 (good) The anime plot was amazing, but the character developments never happened. The person you expect to be your friend well you'll get a shock. The most shocking is how they defeated their enemy. Would have been great if it was extended, but the ending was perfect. The creation of an out of the world family was surprising. Great anime, but due to the characters holding it back will only give it an 8.

8.75 (very good) If your looking for a good-looking and smart boys this is the anime for you! It's all about competition for the first spot. Throughout the anime, the characters did nothing but try and beat the other, which also ended up as being Kei always winning and Hikari going onto second place. It was a fixed position from beginning to end. It is a great anime to watch and a must be recommended anime.

9.00 (very good) This anime has a good spin, but as soon as you think you've figured out what the characters move are, it has another scene stored for you right in the middle. It keeps you on your toes. The story all but revolves around Ayumu's belief on his own power. Although Ayumu denies himself the power to surpass his long lost older brother, it kept him losing a few battles.

The story is a great one, if I say so myself.

7.50 (good) Good anime. It was a refreshing cross-over between occult detective/psychological/science fiction. I was quite disappointed though that Shara did not show herself personally or that Shien and Seiran did not tell Mayuki their true relationship. The way Seiju revealed everything to Mayuki was good though. I think I should also mention the twins Rakuta and Kota, they were a "real" pair of twins, other than their attitude there was no way to tell them apart. Hatsumi and Sanae complete opposite attitude is also refreshing even though they work together to protect Mayuki. Shien outrageous way to introducing herself, his assistant Yoko who always put him in his place. It was an anime with quite a lot of characters but still kept the story focused around the Shinano/Hyuuga mystery and how everything came to its current situation. Overall a good anime to watch to pass the time.

I was addicted to this anime to tell the truth, I mean who wouldn`t. You see cool looking fighting machines that even transform, a flying human and a lot of other things. Come to think, now the anime seems so dull and boring -_-, but truthfully I fully enjoyed this anime to the max. If I was asked if I would watch this anime again I`ll be staring at them or I would say `are you out of your mind`.
